Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag beschreibt anhand verschiedener Kasuistiken die Behandlung einer Borreliose bei Kleintier und Pferd mittels Akupunktur, chinesischen Kräutern und Homöopathie. Während sich die schulmedizinische Therapie meist in der Gabe von Antibiotika und Schmerzmitteln erschöpft, verfolgt die ganzheitliche Medizin einen multimodalen Therapieansatz, bei dem es in erster Linie darum geht, das Immunsystem zu stabilisieren.
Summary
Based on different casuistics, the article discusses the treatment of borreliosis of small animals and horses by means of acupuncture, Chinese phytotherapy and homeopathy. Whereas orthodox medicine is limited by the prescription of antibiotics and analgesics, holistic medicine pursues a multi-modal therapy putting main emphasis on the stabilization of the immune system.
