Zusammenfassung
Sexualstörungen sind bei Patienten mit Läsionen des Nervensystems häufiger zu finden als in der Normalbevölkerung. Sie können entscheidend sein für die richtige neurologische Diagnosestellung. Sexualstörungen gehen mit einer erheblichen Lebensqualitätsminderung der Patienten einher. Neurologen sollten Sexualstörungen diagnostizieren können und eine Basistherapie aus Beratung und eine eventuelle Pharmakotherapie einleiten.
Abstract
Sexual dysfunction is more common in neurological patients than in the general population and significantly lowers their quality of life. The neurologist should discuss sexual function with his/her patient, diagnose the dysfunction and provide basic management – explanation, suggestions and – if necessary – drugs.
