Abstract
The OTSC-clip is a new clipping device in the field of flexible endoscopy. The clip exists of a superelastic alloy. The applicator is installed on the tip of the endoscope. The clip allows compressing a higher amount of tissue than other available clips which are applied through the working channel of the endoscope. Since the introduction of the OTSC-clip 29 publications of clinical application or experiences in experimental setups have been published. This overview of the literature should describe the drawbacks and opportunities of the OTSC-clip system.
