Ziel dieser Studie ist die Untersuchung des Einflusses der fazioskapulohumeralen Muskeldystrophie (FSHD) und der myotonen Dystrophie (DM1) auf die sprechmotorischen Leistungen betroffener Patienten. Mithilfe der Aachener Materialen zur Diagnostik neurogener Sprechstörungen (AMDNS2 [8]) konnte nachgewiesen werden, dass beide Erkrankungen sprechmotorische Einschränkungen verursachen. Die Patienten mit FSHD zeigten Symptome in ihrer Respirations- und Lippenfunktion. Die DM1-Patienten wiesen in diesen Bereichen ebenfalls Symptome auf und waren zusätzlich in ihrer Artikulation beeinträchtigt.
