Abstract

Non-communicable diseases account for 34,5 million or 65,5 % deaths worldwide in 2010 [23]. These are the results of the lifestyle in our civilization, but also the result of established chronic disease management. As a corollary of those findings any initiative to strengthen the position of lifestyle medicine has to be taken. And that does not only include prevention. A new approach to detect and value the resources to develop continuing competent health management is the function diagnosis of the autonomous nervous system by measuring heart rate variability.
