Schmerztherapie beim Kleintier – Gibt es etwas Neues?

Die Schmerztherapie muss an den individuellen Zustand des Patienten angepasst werden, wobei Grad und Dauer der Schmerzen, aber auch der Schmerztyp zu berücksichtigen sind. Dabei ist die rasche Einleitung der Therapie empfehlenswert, um die Bildung eines Schmerzgedächtnisses und somit die Chronifizierung zu verhindern. Im Folgenden werden die in den letzten Jahren neu entwickelten nicht steroidalen Antiphlogistika und Opioide vorgestellt.
