ESGE is proud to publish in this issue a guideline on treatment of smallbowel disorders. This guideline has been endorsed by the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG). The guideline was developed by a working group under the leadership of Dr Marco Pennazio, Turin, Italy.

“This new ESGE Guideline analyzes in detail the performance of two complementary methods of enteroscopy, such as small-bowel capsule endoscopy and device-assisted enteroscopy, for the endoscopic management of challenging small-bowel disorders, including obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, iron-deficiency anaemia, Crohn’s disease, small bowel tumours, polyposis syndromes and coeliac disease,” stated Dr Marco Pennazio, first author. “It provides caregivers a comprehensive guide for the clinical application of enteroscopy.”
