Zusammenfassung
Die supportive Therapie bei Patienten mit hämatologischen Erkrankungen wirkt unterstützend zur Chemotherapie. Die Systemtherapie kann optimiert werden, indem krankheits- und therapiebedingte Nebenwirkungen sowie Komplikationen verhindert bzw. reduziert werden. Dies trägt zu einer Verbesserung der Lebensqualität bei. In den vergangenen 10 – 20 Jahren konnten auf dem Gebiet der Antiemese, der Prophylaxe von bakteriellen Infektionen und Pilzinfektionen, der Prophylaxe und Therapie eines Tumorlysesyndroms sowie einer Mukositis nach Chemotherapie erhebliche Fortschritte erzielt werden. Einige Behandlungen sind nur dank einer adäquaten Supportivtherapie möglich.
Abstract
During the last two decades there was an immense improvement concerning an antiemetic treatment after chemotherapy, antibacterial and antimycotical prophylaxis, prophylaxis and therapy of a tumor lysis syndrome and prophylaxis and therapy of a severe mucositis after chemotherapy. Due to this improvement, side effects and complications of the chemotherapy could be prevented and reduced. This leads to an improvement of the quality of life of patients with hematological or oncological diseases.
