Die Koniotomie im Notarztdienst

Zusammenfassung

Die Koniotomie ist die Ultima-Ratio-Maßnahme bei respiratorischer Insuffizienz, bei der nicht durch konventionelle Maßnahmen, wie mit Maske, Endotrachealtubus, oder mit supraglottischen Hilfsmitteln oxygeniert oder beatmet werden kann. Diese Einsatzsituationen kommen in der prähospitalen Notfallversorgung selten vor, weshalb eine Schulung von notfallmedizinischen Mitarbeitern im Umgang mit Koniotomiesets erforderlich ist.

Abstract

Cricothyrotomy is the ultimate rescue procedure in cases of respiratory distress, when oxygenation or ventilation with conventional methods such as face mask, endotracheal tube or supraglottic dives failes. Cricothyrotomy indications occur very rarely in the pre hospital emergency setting. Therefore, regular training of emergency medical staff using cricothyrotomy sets is essential.
