Summary

A patient with documented Hodgkin’s disease was evaluated by a whole-body scan performed with ⁶⁷Ga citrate and a liver scan performed with ^99mTc sulfur colloid. The gallium study showed two areas of abnormal, positive concentration within the liver, whereas the liver scan showed only one negative defect. ⁶⁷Ga scanning may be a more sensitive indicator of hepatic involvement in Hodgkin’s disease than the colloid scan, and appears useful in confirming a diagnosis of malignancy in the presence of a negative defect on the liver scan.

Un malade atteint de la maladie de Hodgkin, preuves à l’appui, a subi une scintigraphic complète du corps au citrate de gallium 67 et une scintigraphic du foie au sulfure colloïdal de technetium 99m. L’examen au gallium a révélé deux zones d’une concentration positive et anormale à l’interiéur du foie, alors que l’examen de celui-ci ne révélait qu’un seul défaut négatif. La scintigraphic au gallium 67 peut donner une preuve plus convaincante du rôle du foie dans la maladie d’Hodgkin que la scintigraphic colloïdale, et semble utile pour confirmer un diagnostic de malignité en présence d’un défaut négatif sur le scan du foie.

Ein Patient mit eindeutig diagnostiziertem Morbus Hodgkin wurde mit Hilfe der Ganzkörperszintigraphie mt ⁶⁷Ga-citrate und Leberszintigraphie mit ^99mTc-Schwefelkolloid untersucht. Die Galliumuntersuchung zeigte zwei Bereiche abnormaler, positiver Konzentration in der Leber, während die Leberszintigraphie nur einen Bereich negativen Defektes aufwies. Die ⁶⁷Ga-Szintigraphie gibt möglicherweise empfindlichere Hinweise auf eine Leberbeteiligung bei Hodgkinscher Krankheit als die Kolloidszintigraphie. Sie erscheint somit brauchbar für die Bestätigung der Diagnose maligner Veränderungen in Gegenwart eines negativen Defektes in der Leberszintigraphie.
