Der Hell-Dunkel-Wechsel von Tag und Nacht ist von zentraler Bedeutung für die tagesrhythmischen Abläufe psychischer und physischer Prozesse im menschlichen Körper. Licht hat Zeitgeberwirkung für unsere innere Uhr und ermöglicht die Synchronisation dieses zirkadianen (~24-Stunden) Taktgebers mit dem äußeren exakt 24-Stunden-Rhythmus und fördert so unsere Gesundheit.
