Zusammenfassung

Anliegen

Analyse des Einflusses kultureller Faktoren auf die Einstellung zur Inanspruchnahme psychologisch-psychiatrischer Behandlungen.

Methode

Online-Befragung mit Personen aus Deutschland (n = 290), der Türkei (n = 233) und Spanien (n = 103).

Ergebnisse

Neben den Kulturdimensionen Individualismus/Kollektivismus, Geschlechterrollenverteilung, lang-/kurzfristige Werteorientierung und Unveränderlichkeit einer Gesellschaft zeigten auch psychische Belastung, Alter und Geschlecht einen signifikanten Einfluss. Die aufgeklärte Gesamtvarianz war mit 9,3% gering.

Schlussfolgerungen

“Kultur” scheint nur einen geringen Einfluss auf die Einstellung zur Inanspruchnahme zu besitzen.

Objective

Analysis of the influence of cultural factors on the attitude towards use of psychological-psychiatric measures.

Method

Internet-based survey with individuals from Germany (n = 290), Turkey (n = 233) and Spain (n = 103).

Results

Beside the cultural dimensions individualism /collectivism, gender roles, long-/short-term value orientation, and immutability of a society also the emotional distress, age and gender showed a significant impact. The total variance was relatively low at 9.3%.

Conclusions

“Culture” seems to have only a minor influence on the attitude towards the use of psychological and psychiatric treatments.
