Zusammenfassung
Bei fortschreitender Erkrankung können bei Parkinson-Patienten hypo- und hyperkinetische, oft fluktuierende Komplikationen auftreten, die in der Arztkonsultation meist nicht sichtbar sind und eine nicht unerhebliche Herausforderung an die Therapie darstellen. Seit kurzem wird ein System der ambulanten Videoüberwachung speziell für die Beobachtung von Parkinson-Patienten zu Hause angeboten. Im Beitrag werden erste Erfahrungen aus einer Berliner Facharztpraxis mit Schwerpunkt in der Versorgung von Parkinson-Patienten dargestellt.
Summary
With progressing disease Parkinson patients may suffer from motor fluctuations and dyskinesia which are not always visible during consultations and are not easy to treat. In this paper a video system specialised in monitoring patients at home is described as well as first experiences with this new technology in a neurological practice in Berlin.
