Summary

Pectoral limb varus deformities, caused by medial distal radial physeal dysplasia were corrected in two young growing horses. These horses were (14 and 18 months of age) older than the generally accepted time period when periosteal elevation and transphyseal bridging would be successful. Partial circumferential resection (physeolysis) of the dysfunctional physes and placement of autogenous fat grafts in conjunction with transphyseal bridging appeared to assist correction of the angular deformity in these older horses.

The correction of pectoral limb varus deformities in two young growing horses, caused by medial distal radial physeal dysplasia, is described.
