The present bibliography derived from an original effort to arrive at a »Glossary of Selected Social Science Terms« for the Freshman Human Ecology Class of the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. Entries in the bibliography have been placed in alphabetical order (by the author’s last name) and numbered. ‘

In front of the bibliography there is a list of concepts for the better orientation of the reader. This alphabetical list of concepts gives the numbers of the items in the bibliography, e.g. Acculturation [42] = Cordova, I. R. (1969). The references to particular concepts, e.g. »Acculturation« and »Achievement«, cannot be exhaustive, but they represent what can be found about them in the literature dealing with communication theory. Due to the peculiarities of the patient population in the Southwest of the U.S., rural characteristics, modernization and social change are emphasized.Bibliography
