Quantities and Units in Clinical Chemistry

The author describes the efforts of the »Commission on Clinical Chemistry« of IUPAC and IFCC to standardize the concepts, symbols and units used in the clinical laboratory which is a presupposition for an international comparability of laboratory data. The proposals of the commission have been published in a Recommendation 1966.

Der Autor berichtet über die Bemühungen der »Kommission für Klinische Chemie« der IUPAC und der IFCC, die im klinischen Laboratorium verwendeten Begriffe, Symbole und Maßeinheiten zu standardisieren, um damit die Voraussetzungen für eine internationale Vergleichbarkeit von Labordaten zu schaffen. Die Empfehlungen der Kommission sind als Recommendation 1966 veröffentlicht worden.
