Summary
A simple procedure is described for measuring migration of human platelets in vitro. Migration increased with temperature reaching maximum values at approximately 30 °C. Addition of normal plasma to the incubation chambers increased migration in all tests and the increase reached twice the control values in 3 of 4 tests. The rate of migration in vitro was relatively rapid for the first 12 hrs. of incubation and then continued at a slower rate for at least an additional 12 hours.
