Summary

A method has been developed which allows fibrinolytic materials to be tested under standardized conditions on preformed plasma or fibrin clots. The clot is digested from one unvaried surface only. The progress of the digestion can be read directly as volume of clot digested as often as desired. The method is particularly suitable for serial studies with preformed clots from human plasma.
