Introduction

Conjunctival lymphangiectasia is an uncommon benign ocular surface disorder of unknown etiology, characterized by dilatation of lymphatic vessels in the bulbar conjunctiva [1]. It is mostly acquired and occurs secondary after distal obstruction or disruption of the lymphatic system by inflammation, surgery, trauma or neoplastic disease [1], [2]. Conjunctival lymphangiectasia can either be unilateral or bilateral with diffuse enlargement, clinically apparent as chemosis, or as a focal dilatation of lymphatic vessels presenting as an isolated cyst or series of cysts [3]. In this report an unusual phenotype of conjunctival lymphangiectasia is presented, that appeared as a conjunctival horn and was classified by histopathological examination as conjunctival lymphangiectasia.
