Zusammenfassung
Die Ringelblume ist eine bereits seit langer Zeit bekannte und traditionell vielseitig angewendete Heilpflanze. Ihr enormes, sehr vielseitiges Potenzial, welches weit über das der Wundheilungsunterstützung hinausgeht, wird durch eine Vielzahl von Studien immer wieder belegt. Leider wird nicht konsequent genug geforscht, um weitere Produkte mit entsprechender Indikation zur Marktreife zu bringen. Calendula aber ist es wert, intensiver systematisch erforscht zu werden, damit eben dieses Potenzial in Form therapeutischer Zubereitungen voll genutzt werden kann.
Summary
Marigold is a medicinal plant that has been known for a long time and traditionally applied for a variety of purposes. Several studies have been carried out to prove marigoldʼs enormous and versatile potential beyond wound-healing. However, there is a research gap to consistently highlight further phytotherapeutic products and their appropriate indications that could be derived from marigold. This article shows the merits of carrying out more intensive and systematic investigation regarding the potential of Calendula officinalis and its utilization in the form of therapeutic preparations.
