Nichtsteroidale Antirheumatika (NSAID) sind für die symptomatische Therapie bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen Mittel der Wahl – es gibt keine wirklich guten Alternativen. Allerdings muss man bei ihrer Anwendung das – nicht unerhebliche – Risiko unerwünschter Wirkungen beachten. Patienten mit zu hohen Risiken sollten von der Anwendung ausgeschlossen werden.
