Summary
Aloe vera gel: A literature research
Due to its laxative effect on the treatment of constipation, aloe vera is well-established as an internal phytotherapeutic remedy. Other indications for aloe vera therapy are currently mainly associated with the leaf marrow (gel), which has been used topically since time immemorial in the treatment of wounds and burns. The market abounds with several food supplements of the aloe vera gel. This literature review of clinical studies which is based on the common databases shows that aloe vera research has not yet sufficiently demonstrated the efficacy and safety of the gel.
