Autoimmune and rheumatologic diseases are increasingly recognized for their impact on reproductive health, both in terms of fertility and pregnancy outcomes. With advancements in reproductive medicine and our growing understanding of immunologic dysregulation, examining these conditions in the context of reproductive endocrinology has become imperative. Autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS), autoimmune thyroid disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, and type 1 diabetes mellitus, each present unique challenges to patients attempting conception, undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART), and managing pregnancy. This special issue seeks to consolidate the current understanding of these diseases in relation to reproductive health and to provide guidance on optimizing fertility and pregnancy management in affected individuals.
