Lipomähnliches Liposarkom der Zunge

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund: Liposarkome der Zunge sind seltene Tumoren. Nur 7 Fälle wurden bisher in der deutsch- und englischsprachigen Literatur beschrieben. Patient: Wir stellen einen Fall eines gut differenzierten lipomähnlichen Liposarkoms der Zunge bei einer 71jährigen Frau vor. Nach kompletter Resektion liegt zwei Jahre später weder ein Rezidiv noch eine Metastasierung vor. Ergebnis und Schlußfolgerungen: Liposarkome der Zunge sind seltene Tumoren. Alle bisher aufgetretenen Fälle waren histologisch gut differenziert. Bei soliden Raumforderungen der Zunge müssen Liposarkome mit in die Differentialdiagnose einbezogen werden.

Background: Liposarcomas of the tongue are rare. To date only 7 cases have been reported. Patient: We report a new case of a well differentiated lipoma-like liposarcoma of the body of the tongue in a 71-year old woman. Complete uneventful resection was performed. Histologically the tumor consisted of fat cells with occasional lipoblasts and spindle cell areas. There is no sign of recurrence of the tumor 2 years later. Results and Conclusions: Liposarcomas of the tongue are rare neoplasms. All cases reported were histologically well differentiated. Liposarcomas have to be considered in the differential diagnosis of solid masses of the tongue.
