Gesichtspunkte einer Elterninitiative bei der Betreuung von Kindern mit Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumenspalte

Zusammenfassung

Im November 2000 ist in Hannover eine Elterninitiative für Kinder mit Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumenspalten und ihre Familien entstanden, die zum Ziel hat, betroffene Eltern zu informieren und zu ermutigen und den Kontakt zwischen ihnen zu ermöglichen. Zwei Fallbeispiele (Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumenspalte und Gaumenspalte mit Tympanoplastik) machen deutlich, wie sinnvoll und notwendig Elterninitiativen gerade auch in diesem Bereich sind.

Viewpoints of a Parents’ Action Group Regarding the Care of Children with Cleft Lips and Palates

In November 2000, a parents’ action group for children with cleft lips and palates and their families was founded in Hannover with the aim to inform and to encourage involved parents and to make a contact between them possible. Two case reports (cleft lip and palate and cleft palate with tympanoplasty) illustrate how reasonable and necessary parents’ action groups are especially in this field.
