Operative Probleme bei Patienten mit Prostatasteinen

Zusammenfassung

Kleine Prostatasteine sind oft Folge unspezifischer rezidivierender Prostataentzündungen. Große Prostatasteine und Verkalkung des gesamten Organs können als Ursache eine spezifische Entzündung (z.B. Tuberkulose) haben. Wir berichten über Diagnostik und Therapie eines Patienten mit BPH und gleichzeitiger ausgedehnter Prostatolithiasis. Eine primäre TUR-P war wegen ausgedehnter Verkalkungen nicht möglich. Die obstruktive Prostata konnte erst nach 3 ESWL-Sitzungen reseziert werden.

Abstract

Small prostatic calculi may result from nonspecific infections of the prostate gland, but larger ones are usually caused by specific infections, especially tuberculosis. We report on a patient with benign prostatic hyperplasia and large prostatic calculi, that caused major difficulties during prostate resection (TUR-P). A primary TUR-P was unsuccessful. The obstructive prostate could only be resected after three ESWL procedures.
