Über Muskelanomalien in der Regio parotidea - ein Beitrag zur Parotischirurgie

Zusammenfassung

In der Parotisregion können Muskelanomalien vorkommen, die von nach ventral oder nach dorsal aberrierenden Platysmabündeln abgeleitet werden. Beschrieben wird ein M. occipito-parotideus, der vom Nacken über den oberen Anteil des M. sternocleidomastoideus verläuft und dann in die Faszie der Gl. parotidea einstrahlt. Diese Muskeln können die Präparation muskulärer Leitstrukturen zur Darstellung der Gl. parotidea und des N. facialis erschweren und den Operateur irritieren.

Anomalies of Muscles in the Parotid Area - A Contribution to Parotid Surgery

Anomalous muscles in the parotid area may be derived from platysma fibres migrating to ventral or dorsal. We describe a M. occipito-parotideus with its origin in the back of the neck crossing the upper part of the M. sternocleidomastoideus and inserting the fascia parotidea. This muscle may irritate the surgeon preparing the muscular landmarks of parotid and facial nerve surgery.
