The results after the use of 2 different intramedullary nailing systems in the treatment of 2 groups with humeral shaft fractures will be analyzed. 47 patients had been treated with a Seidel interlocking nail and 35 fractures were treated with the unreamed humeral nail. Definitely there was to be seen that the unreamed humeral nail has two advantages: the possibilities of retrograde insertion as well as providing compression of the fracture, resulting in a high rotational stability.
