Haematosalpinx of Fallopian Tube: Isolated Torsion with Congenital Abnormal Vascularisation

Abstract

We report a case of haematosalpinx due to torsion of the Fallopian tube with congenital abnormal blood supply in a girl. The symptoms were not specific and the first diagnosis was a pelvic complex mass like a tumour. The authors discuss the possible aetiology.

Résumé

Nous présentons un cas d'hémosalpingite secondaire à une torsion tubulaire chez une fillette ayant une anomalie vasculaire congénitale. La symptomatologie était non spécifique, sans masse pelvienne. Nous discutons des étiopathologies possibles.

Resumen

Presentamos un caso de hematosalpinx debido a torsión de la trompa con la vascularización anormal de la misma. Los síntomas no eran específicos y el primer diagnóstico fue de probable tumor pélvico complejo. Los autores discuten la posible etiopatología.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird ein Fall einer ausschließlichen Torsion der Tube vorgestellt mit Neovaskularisierung der Tube durch das Omentum majus und haematosalpinx. Die Symptome waren unspezifisch, und die primäre Diagnose lautete Beckentumor. Die mögliche Ätiopathologie wird diskutiert.
