Abstract
Coloscopy is a routine examination of high effectiveness. From the surgical point of view it has two main risks. The first one is the bleeding after endoluminal polypectomy. The other one is the perforation of the gut which is a severe and possibly letal complication. We report on 6 iatrogenic colon perforations and its outcome.
