Verlaufsformen und Definitionen der Zöliakie - Stellungsnahme einer Expertengruppe der Deutschen Zöliakie-Gesellschaft

Zusammenfassung

Die Zöliakie weist verschiedene Verlaufsformen auf und ist in ihrem klinischen Erscheinungsbild sehr heterogen. Dieses erfordert eine differenzierte Therapie und Betreuung der Patienten. Aus den Reihen des ärztlichen Beirates der Deutschen Zöliakie-Gesellschaft wurde eine Arbeitsgruppe gebildet, um die verschiedenen Verlaufsformen der Zöliakie, die bislang uneinheitlich benutzt wurden, näher zu definieren. Durch die konsequente Beachtung und Anwendung der unterschiedlichen Definitionen der Zöliakie können Unsicherheiten beim behandelnden Arzt vermieden und hierdurch eine Vereinheitlichung und Verbesserung der Patientenversorgung erreicht werden.

Abstract

Celiac disease may have different manifestations and the clinical course can be very heterogeneous. Thus, management and treatment of celiac disease can be difficult and therefore requires individual patient care. In this article an expert group from the German Society for Celiac Disease (Deutsche Zöliakie-Gesellschaft) defines the different manifestations of celiac disease. In the past these definitions were often used differently. The consequent usage of these definitions may diminish uncertainties in clinical practice and lead to a more standardized management of the disease which is likely to improve patient care.
