Abstract

Dieser Artikel möchte die biologischen Veränderungen im Gehirn bei psychisch erkrankten Menschen am Beispiel von Menschen mit posttraumatischem Stress aufzeigen und pflegerische Grundhaltungen und Interventionen aus diesem Verständnis ableiten. Menschen mit posttraumatischem Stress gehören zu den schnell wachsenden Patientengruppen innerhalb der Psychiatrie. Die posttraumatische Belastungsstörung ist auch eine in Komorbidität häufig auftretende Diagnose, die oft in Zusammenhang mit Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung und anderen Persönlichkeitsstörungen gestellt wird.
