The 30th meeting of ECMUS was held in January 2004 in Sweden. It was the last meeting to be chaired by Professor Salvesen and it was agreed to nominate Professor Malcolm Levene from UK as his successor on the committee which will be chaired by Tony Whittingham.
Unfortunately the running of the Committee has been more expensive than planned in the budget 04. In order to guarantee this important work new resource need to be tapped.
The most important work of ECMUS, that of rewriting the safety statement has been undertaken, a very time consuming piece of work and this will be presented to the Executive Bureau at its meeting in Geneva.
