eingehend diskutiert.
Abstract
Protein-energy malnutrition is frequently observed in chronic dialysis patients. The
primary and secondary disease, the uremic syndrome and the treatment itself, lead
to complex changes of the metabolism. The quality of life and the survival are largely
dependent of the nutritional state of these patients. The pathogenesis, prevention
and the treatment options of malnutrition, first of all the intradialytic parenteral
nutrition of chronic dialysis patients will be discussed in detail.
