Abstract

A novel and efficient method for the construction of pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines, indolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines and their aza-analogues is described. The reaction involves a Pd-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization as the key step and provides the desired products in only two steps and good overall yields.
