Amine-Catalyzed Aldol Condensation in the Presence of Lithium Perchlorate

Abstract
A catalytic aldol condensation in the presence of lithium perchlorate and tertiary amines is described giving pure products in high yields. The aldol condensation can be performed even in the presence of hydrated lithium perchlorate.
