Summary

Chikungunya Fever (CF) is a mosquito-borne disease. Restlessness, prostration, crippling arthralgia and myalgia, a highly febrile state and headache are the common symptoms. A severe negative mental state pervades over all patients. There is no effective treatment in allopathy except for analgesics/anti-pyretics which provide only partial relief with symptoms recurring at short intervals - moreover they do not address the negative mental symptoms at all. Such debilitating recurrence of symptoms and the persistent negative mental state cripples the patient mentally and physically. In contrast, homeopathy not only counters all symptoms very effectively by bringing relief to the patient but also shortens the duration of the disease. Breaking the violent grip of the disease within 48 hours (in most cases within 24 hours) is a notable feature.
