Zusammenfassung
Die Rhinoplastik gilt als eine der technisch anspruchsvollsten Operationen der Kopf-Halschirurgie, und reproduzierbar gute Ergebnisse setzen eine sorgfältige Indikation, eine sichere Operationstechnik und viel Erfahrung voraus. Kontroversen zu Indikation und Technik halten auch mehr als ein Jahrhundert nach der ersten Rhinoplastik an. Diese Arbeit bietet einen Überblick über den aktuellen Stand dieser Diskussion. Dabei werden psychologische Aspekte, die Vorbereitung des Eingriffs ebenso wie operationstechnische Details sowie Lösungsvorschläge für typische Befundkonstellationen dargestellt.
