Zusammenfassung
In einer vergleichenden Studie von 117 Patienten nach Amotiooperation, von denen 54
eine segmentale Plombe, 18 eine Cerclage und 45 eine Cerclage mit Zusatzplombe erhielten,
wurden die orthoptischen Nebenwirkungen untersucht. Persistierende Doppelbilder fanden
sich in 6% der Fälle nach isolierter Plombage, in 11% nach einfacher Cerclage und
in 20% der Fälle nach kombinierter Cerclage- und Plombenoperation. Bei sehr hohem
Buckelwall stieg die Inzi-denz auf über 30%.
Summary
In a comparative study we examined orthoptic side effects in 117 patients following
conventional retinal detachment surgery. Of these, 54 had had a segmentel scleral
buckle, 18 a simple encircling band and 45 an encircling band combined with a radial
buckle. Persistent diplopia was found in 6% of cases following segmental buckles,
in 11% following simple encircling procedures and in 20% following combined operations
with encircling bands and segmental buckles. The incidence of diplopia was more than
30% in cases with high encircling buckles.
