Die echographische Differentialdiagnose der Leukokorie

Zusammenfassung

Beim Warnsymptom Leukokorie muß an eine Vielzahl von Krankheitsbildern, wie das Retinoblastom, der persistierende hyperplastische primäre Glaskörper, der Morbus Coats, die retrolentale Fibroplasie, gedacht werden. Bei der Differentialdiagnose kommt der Echographie in Ergänzung zur Anamnese und klinischen Bild große Bedeutung zu. Das Retinoblastom ist echographisch durch einen sehr hohen Reflexionsgrad mit Schattenwirkung gekennzeichnet, und läßt sich so zu den membranes aufgebauten „Pseudo-Retinoblastomen” eindeutig abgrenzen.

The warning sign of leukokoria brings a number of disease entities to mind, e.g., retinoblastoma, persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous, Coats' disease, retrolental fibroplasia, etc. In addition to the history and the clinical findings echography is an important tool for differential diagnosis. Retinoblastoma has a high degree of reflectivity with shadowing on the echograms due to calcium deposits and can thus be clearly distinguished from the “pseudoretinoblasto-mas”, which have a membranous structure.
