Zur Argonlaser-Gonioplastik beim Winkelblockglaukom

Zusammenfassung

Durch die Argonlaser-Gonioplastik konnten 82 von 86 Augen mit Winkelblockglaukom während eines Zeitraums von einem bis 27 Monaten (̄=7,5 Monate) anfallsfrei gehalten und ihr intraokulärer Druck normalisiert werden. Wegen der hohen Erfolgsquote und der niedrigen Komplikationsrate stellt die Lasergonioplastik eine Alternative zu bulbuseröffnenden Eingriffen dar.

Summary

Eighty-six eyes with angle-closure glaucoma were treated by laser gonioplasty. Within 1 to 27 months (̄=7.5 months) the intraocular pressure was normalized in eighty-two eyes. In view of the high-success rate and the fact that complications are only transient laser treatment is preferable to intraocular surgery.
