ABSTRACT

Gynecomastia is a prevelent problem in the male population. Although medical treatment may be an option, patients commonly present to the plastic surgeon for treatment. Surgical options include open excision, lipoplasty, and, more recently, ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL). UAL offers a number of advantages over traditional lipoplasty, many of which are particularly applicable to the male breast. UAL is a valuable tool for the treatment of genecomastia.
