Abstract
We report the case of a primitive trigeminal artery aneurysm associated with an ipsilateral middle cerebral artery aneurysm. A 64-year-old Caucasian woman suffered from a severe acute headache. A head CT scan displayed subarachnoid hemorrage and subsequent cerebral angiography showed right, wide-necked persistent trigeminal artery and ipsilateral middle cerebral artery aneurysms. The patient underwent embolization of both aneurysms with Guglielmi detachable coils. The association of a PPTA aneurysm and an ipsilateral MCA aneurysm has not been reported in the English literature.
Key words
