Dear Readers,

With the end of 2024, volume 8 of the Journal of Hip Surgery is coming to a close. However, we have some exciting news about the future: As of January 1, 2025, the Journal of Hip Surgery will be merged into The Surgery Journal.

Through this change, we will transform the Journal of Hip Surgery into a part of an established Open Access Journal, providing our authors with increased visibility and reach for their work, including indexing in critical databases such as PubMed Central.

The Surgery Journal aims to advance surgical knowledge and practice worldwide by providing a comprehensive platform that encompasses all surgical specialties. The journal is dedicated to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among surgeons, nurses, and medical students to improve patient care across diverse health systems.

We would like to thank Co-Editors-in-Chief, Steven F. Harwin and Wael K. Barsoum, as well as our Editorial Office, Karen Foote, and the members of the Editorial Board for their excellent work on and their commitment to the journal.
