Zusammenfassung

Zum klinischen Spektrum der im Zusammenhang mit einer HIV-Infektion zu beobachtenden Symptome gehören auch osteoartikuläre Manifestationen. Dabei kann das Auftreten einer HIV-Infektion den Verlauf einer vorbestehenden oder zeitgleich auftretenden Gelenkerkrankung modulieren oder ursächlich an der gelenkbezogenen Beschwerdesymptomatik beteiligt sein. Zu bedenken sind in zunehmendem Maße auch medikamentös induzierte rheumatische Symptome, die ebenso wie infektiöse Komplikationen eine differenzierte Betrachtung und Diagnostik erfordern. Dieser Artikel soll einen Überblick über Differenzialdiagnostik und -therapie von Arthritiden bei HIV-infizierten Patienten geben und zu einem besseren Verständnis dieser komplexen Problematik beitragen.

Abstract

Osteoarticular manifestations are part of the spectrum of clinical syndromes related to HIV disease. HIV infection can modulate the course of a preexisting or concurrent rheumatologic disease and may as well cause new disease entities. Rheumatic manifestations, that require careful diagnostic considerations and appropriate diagnostic evaluations, may also evolve as drug side effects or due to infectious complications secondary to the underlying immundeficiency. This article provides a summary on the spectrum of arthritis and arthralgias in HIV-infected patients and will hopefully contribute to a more profound understanding of this issue.
