Summary

This case was an eye opener, a learning experience for me. Most of us know that homeopathic drugs are “safe and harmless”. But this case illustrates a plain truth that homeopathic drugs can also suppress and that the concept of disease progression as explained by Hahnemann must be clearly understood. The case shows how important being aware of “Hering's law of the direction of cure” is in a correct understanding of the follow-up and that the fact that symptoms have disappeared does not necessarily indicate the patient has been cured.
