Significance
Tamiphosphor is a neuraminidase inhibitor that is more effective against the H1N1 human influenza virus than tamiflu and equally effective against the recombinant H5N1 (N1BRG14) virus. The synthesis of tamiphosphor depicted uses a Pd-catalyzed phosphonylation of bromoalkene G to install the phosphonic acid moiety.
