Significance
The synthesis of an artificial molecular array for light harvesting is presented. The authors use a compound (BPPF) containing bodipy (B), perylene (P), pyrene (Py) and fluorene (F), with diethynylbenzene connectors, which provide through-bond electron exchange for both singlet and triplet transfer.
