Significance
The authors have developed a Cu-catalyzed diastereoselective addition of organozinc reagents to cyclopropene derivatives. Either ester or oxazolidinone is an excellent directing group in the addition of a variety of organozinc reagents with excellent facial selectivity. The scope of the method is broadened by the ability to utilize organozinc reagents generated in situ from Grignard reagents.
