Significance
The authors report on the nickel- and palladium-catalyzed isomerization of terminal olefins generating internal olefins. Reports of rearrangements of 2,2′-disubstituted olefins to the corresponding internal olefins are rare. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that only one regioisomer is obtained.
